The Met Office has updated a warning for ICE for the Wirral today that will last until 11am Saturday.
A band of rain, with hill snow, will move south across northern and central parts of the UK during Friday, followed by showers which will become confined to the north and west overnight. The showers will fall as snow over hills and rain/hail down to low levels on the wirral. Clearing skies will allow the temperature to fall below freezing with a ice hazard. Ice is likely to form on untreated surfaces during tonight and early Saturday morning, particularly where showers have occurred during Friday. The public is advised to take extra care.
The wirral is still on a level 2 cold weather alert. Details can be read here.
